Collection: Illum 2026

The Eye Mirrors were inspired by a fictional character from the podcast My Dad Wrote a Porno. They began as a playful experiment: a way to combine the tactile surface of my tufted work with a mirror, allowing it to catch the sun and bring light into a room.

Each piece is both artwork and mirror, asking the question: who is looking at whom?

No two eyes are alike. Each one is an experiment in colour, where I test, play, and follow the work without always knowing where it will end. They also challenge my own relationship with individual colours, while staying true to one rule: no black or white.

Most of the mirrors are found second-hand, so some carry small signs of wear. I see these marks as adding another layer to the work—like a scratch on a cornea, or perhaps on the soul.

The lametta catches the light too, bringing movement, shimmer, and extra life to each piece
